Hamamelis – otherwise known as Witch Hazel – helps to shrink and contract blood vessels back to normal size, hence its use as the active ingredient in many hemorrhoid medications. It is very effective when swabbed directly on hemorrhoids. I must admit I had never heard of making a tea with it. How does it taste?
